Gold Coast Marathon
The Kobe Marathon has partnered with the Gold Coast Marathon, which has been held in Australia since the first event (2011), to promote friendship and goodwill.
The Gold Coast Marathon, which will be held for the 43rd time this year, is one of the overseas marathons loved by Japanese people. It is said that the course is flat and easy to run, so it is recommended not only for beginners but also for veteran runners who aim to break the record. This is a label race officially recognized by the World Athletics.
Since the Kobe Marathon 2011, the top finishers have been dispatched to the same marathon, but from 2018, the Gold Coast Marathon has also dispatched the top finishers, making it a mutual dispatch. The top two runners of the Kobe Marathon 2022, Shumpei Oda and Haruka Yamaguchi, will participate in the Gold Coast Marathon 2023 (held from Saturday, July 1st to Sunday, July 2nd).

Comments after the race: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in the Gold Coast Marathon this time.
I wasn't in perfect condition, but I was able to show my current strength. Marathons overseas are different from domestic marathons in terms of atmosphere and event management structure, and everything felt fresh and fun. Next time I would like to do my best for the Kobe marathon. Once again, thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity.

Comments after the race: I ran the Gold Coast Marathon. As a result, both the time and the ranking have been lowered from the previous competition. I was allowed to run in a group up to 30km, but the pace of the group increased so much that I could not keep up. Solo run from 30km. Originally, this was the point where I could show my strength, but I couldn't hold on at all. I would like to take this result and devote myself to future training. I will use this race as fuel to practice steadily.
Thank you very much for your support.
